The Wild Brumby Artist Collective emerged as the brainchild of Andy J Crowder and ‘Dirty Kurty’ LINTNER. Two outsider artists who shared a passion for creation, they worked tirelessly on their art day and night. Life in the world of art was vibrant, with each day dedicated to making art that would soon be gone. From the gutters of St Kilda's Crystal Ballroom to a falling down old house in Caulfield near the racetrack...
After the Caulfield location faced demolition and Johny Dancer cut down Dirty Kurty (vale friend), Andy's art hit the road, living briefly on Barkly Street in St Kilda before eventually landing in Melton.
In November 2025, an opportunity for a pop-up location became available in Anzac Square on St Kilda Road. Over the next few months, Andy gathered together a veritable treasure trove of creatives, holding three exhibitions; Exhibition #1, Nudescapes, & Magic Hoppens.
The Wild Brumby Artist Collective was born. Collectively we've each made art whenever, however, and wherever we could. But now, the outsiders have arrived. We've shown the world what we can do with space, we're now continuing online...
Our ethos continues to be DIY.
